It is a delicious and tasty recipe which is coated with semolina or not with semolina.
It is also look like in the shape of french fries but it is healthy from it.
The easy recipe just need cold water, seasalt and yam to make this crunchy recipe.

Ingredients for making fried yam recipe
1) 1 Puna yam
2) Sunflower oil - 1/2 litre
3) Seasalt - 1 tsp
4) Cold water - 1 bowl
Directions for making fried yam at home
1) Take the yam and firstly divide the yam into two equal halves from the centre with knife.
2) After dividing peel off the skin of yam with knife.
3) Cut the yam into small and long sticks like french fries.
4) Take a bowl full of cold water and put all the yam sticks in the water and then add seasalt in it.
5) Rinse the yam sticks in the water and after sometime of rinse, drain out the water from it.
6) Deep fry the yam sticks in the sunflower oil on medium high high heat until the sticks becomes crispy and gets a light golden brown colour.
7) Let's put aside the fried yams for cooling sometime and serves the fried yams with any kind of sauce of your choice.
