How to Make Simple French Toast

                What is french toast? 

French Toast is a dish of sliced bread soaked in beaten eggs and typically milk, then pan fried.

French toast is one of those things that don't need any fancy ingredients.

                   Classic French Toast 

When you want quick and easy french toast recipe then I recommend you to make a classic french toast. 

I have been making this recipe as long as I can remember and I hope that you all love this recipe. 

               French Toast ingredients 

1) 2 large eggs 

2) Milk - 1/4 cup

3) Bread - 6 slices 

4) Salt - pinch of it 

5) Sweetner 

6) Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

7) Butter - 2 tbsp

8) Maple syrup - 1 tbsp

9) Cinnamon or nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp

1) Challah Bread

2) Sourdough Bread

3) French Bread 

4) Sandwich Bread 

French toast with milk is true because in our toast recipe batter we use to give a nice taste to it.

You can use dairy milk like

1) Whole Milk 

2) Skim Milk

           Or 

You can use non-dairy milk like

1) Almond Milk 

2) Coconut Milk

Directions for Simple French Toast Batter

1) Whisk eggs, milk of your choice, sugar, vanilla essence on a bowl and put the mixture in a pie platter after whisking. 

2) Now dip the bread of your choice in the batter. 

 First dip one side of bread for few seconds in batter and repeat this method for second side also. 

 ( If you dip the bread in the batter for long time then it will absorbs more liquid then it will  become soggy.) 

3) Once both side of the bread is coated with batter then heat a skillet and spread butter on the heated skillet with a fork over medium low heat.

Pan fried the French toast for upto 2 - 3 minutes on each side. 

4) Place the fried french toast on a plate and pour maple syrup from the top on french toast and serves hot immediately.
